Xpand Ability is a Self-assessment eLearning application which allows business owners to identify areas for which they require support, receive self guided learning, additional information and signposting to relevant services.

The application provides integration for baseline and ongoing assessments. Organisations are able to suggest subject areas for which they wish businesses to complete self evaluation.

Relevant content for self-guided learning to be provided by organisations:

Text-based lessons, videos, quizzes, external links and relevant articles.

Selecting Relevant Areas

Business owners indicate which subjects are relevant to their business and the level of support required for their business.

Custom Learning Path

Once complete, Xpand Abillity creates a learning path suited to the business owner based on their selected requirements, prioritised by areas of greatest support required. 

Business users receive notifications prompting self-guided learning and when new content becomes available.

Step 1 - Initial Requirements. 

Business owners indicate which subjects are relevant to their business and the level of support required

Step 2 - Select an Area to Focus.

Business users select an initial area that they would like to focus on via the application.

Step 3 - Custom Learning Path.

Xpand Ability creates a learning path suited to the business owner based on their selected requirements,and prioritised by areas of greatest level of support required.

Step 4 - Learn

Training materials relevant to a business needs are provided through videos, quizzes,  and text-based learning modules according to their requirements.

Step 5 - Ongoing Assessments

Business users receive notifications prompting when new content is available. In order to continue to receive free access to materials - users must complete ongoing assessments.

  • What will I get after I join a membership plan?

    1. Template Membership: After you join the club, you will immediately access the download area of the templates. There you should find your favorite template and download it. You will see two parts for each download: The Source Files and The All In One Package. The All In One Package contains all the files that are necessary to install the template on the site: the Template file, the Cloner Installer to make your site exactly like the demo, all the modules, components and plug-ins included in that template and of course the documentation guide. The Source Files package contains the Adobe Photoshop files so that you can easily edit the design part of the template.

    2. Extension Membership: After you join the club, you will immediately access the download area of the extensions. There you should find your favorite extension and download it.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept PayPal payments, credit cards (major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American express etc.). The payments are managed by Stripe, one of the most powerful payment gateway systems. They are completely secure as you are the only one who has access to your financial information. You may also pay through bank transfer. Please, contact us for further details regarding the payment methods.
  • What will happen after my membership expires?

    After your membership expires you may continue using the same template/extension you have downloaded and installed on your domain. In fact, you may use the same template/extension for lifetime if you wish. No other payment is required to keep the same template/extension. The payment is a one-time fee. However, you won't be able to have support from SmartAddons after the expiry. Support is given as long as you are an active member.
  • Membership fees are refundable?

    Yes, we have a money back program that refunds completely your payment, if it is asked for it up to 7 days after your subscription day. Although it is a money back program, we will need a valid reason to refund your payment. We can't accept motives like "I didn't notice this product was for Joomla" or "I didn't realize this template doesn't work with Joomla 1.5". Of course, we take our responsibility for any possible problem with our products and will refund your money if we haven't delivered you the promised product.
  • How many templates/extensions am I allowed to download/use?

    The number of the templates/extensions that you may use depends on the membership plan that you have joined. You are free to download as many templates/extensions as you consider appropriate in order to test and check them out, regardless the plan that you chose. However, you may not take advantage of every template/extensions that you have downloaded. The membership plan limits you to a specific number of domains in which you can install the templates/extensions. For Personal Membership this is two, meaning that you can use two domains. For Business Membership and Developer Membership the number is Unlimited, meaning that there is no limit in the number of domains to be created.
  • Can I use the templates/extensions for non commercial and nonprofit sites?

    You may use the templates/extensions for commercial and non commercial purpose. You may use it to create your company's or personal website. If you are a designer or a freelancer, you can use them for your clients. Our templates/extensions have been also used from non profits organizations and institutions, as well as churches. However, you may not use our templates/extensions to create sites which convey to inappropriate content like crime, violence, threatening etc.

Support Tools

Slack / Webchat

Webchat is conducted via Slack in private channels which are compatible with WCAG standards - details about Slacks commitment to WCAG 2.0 AA standards can be found at Slack's commitment to Accessibility.

Turning off emoji and animation settings will increase the accessibility for seeking to increase the accessibility of Slack for communicating with Xpand.

Subscribed and premium support customers will receive access to Slack via email upon subscription.

Support calls for subscribed and premium customers can be raised via Jira Service which is WCAG 2.0 AA compliant

Who has my access to my personal data?

In order for your information to be shared to any relevant 3rd party agencies as part of the application process - we will explicitly state which organisation your information will be available to and for how long.

In order to manage which organisations have access to your data,  you are able to self-manage or remove these permissions through the My Profile page on any of the Xpand Applications. 

 

Where is my data stored?

Your data by default is stored in London and Dublin AWS hosted service.

On the profile page of the application you have the option of selecting which country your data will be held.

Organisations requesting further controls surrounding data storage can request this through our Premium Support change management process.

Data Portability

I would like to download My Data

As a business

  1. Log onto the Xpand application
  2. Visit My Profile Page
  3. Select Download My Data
  4. Receive link to CSV file

 

As a business support organisation

  1. Log onto the Xpand application
  2. Visit My Profile Page
  3. Select Download Agency Data
  4. A service request task will be created
  5. A link to the relevant data will be sent to the registered data controller

I would like to upload My Data

  1. A service request to upload data can be made via the Xpand Service Desk for Premium Support customers;  
  2. A list of the required fields and formats will be provided upon request to the individual making the request.
  3. A link to a secure folder to transfer files will be provided
  4. If the data is not in the correct format there will be an administration charge in order to convert and upload data as a quoted service request.
  5. Once files have been received,  required service costs have been approved files will be uploaded within a 3 - 5 working day period
  6. A notification will be made to the data controller when this has been completed

 

 

 

Application Usage Reports

Individual

Individual usage reports are available via the application for an administration fee of £10 - requests can be made through the Support Page

 

Organisation

Organisation level user usage reports are available via the Control Panel within Xpand Access.
